This balaclava is designed for winter days when you want warmth without bulk. It fits close to the head and sits flat on the neck, making it ideal for wind, biking, and low-effort winter dressing. The pattern includes three closure options so you can adjust the fit and look to your preference: sew the neck opening closed, use two buttons, or lace it up with a drawstring.

The balaclava is worked flat in one piece without seams. This design features three seamless color patterns: stripes, polka dots and checkers. 

What makes this pattern special?

Warped granny stitches are my take on the classic granny stitch. In this pattern, the warped stripes create a subtle optical illusion that shrinks and magnifies areas without adding extra bulk.

The pattern is written in US crochet terms and uses metric measurements.
